Dear Etrain,
You're a lucky little dude because you have three sets of grandparents who all love you tons. Your Grammy Vigil lives in Northern California so we don't get to see her as much as we'd like. She wanted to see you for your first birthday so she hopped on a plane and got here last Saturday - the day before your birthday party.
After you went to bed Saturday night, Grammy, Dada and I made your birthday cake and cupcakes. Oh my, they were tasty. The next day was your party, which lasted basically all day and night. The rest of the week you and I had some simple but fun adventures with Grammy. We did some Christmas shopping and had lunch at the mall. We went to your 12 month checkup at the doctor (ok, so maybe that one wasn't so fun - or at least not after they gave you four shots and took some blood from your heel - poor baby!). We went to a tasty dinner at Javier's then, yes, went shopping again. We also had a photo shoot. You were not very interested and therefore very squirmy. I'm not sure I got one photo with the both of you smiling at the camera, but there were plenty of other fun moments.
I don't know about you, but I can't wait until Grammy comes out to visit again.
