Dear Etrain,
For the past four years, Auntie Ansley has been taking family photos for us. The first year it was just me and you in my belly, but the next year we did a Christmas photo shoot with Dada too. A first we just thought it'd be fun to have nice photos of us all together, dressed up and all, but it turned out it was also nice to make Christmas cards out of it. We also took photos together last year, but I didn't feel too pretty in most of those photos (I should have planned more time to get ready...and I should have picked out a better outfit), so I got a card out, but didn't make a blog post for it. I'll dig those up sometime...there were cute shots of you.
Anyway, this year's shoot was lots of fun. We went down by the train tracks in San Juan Capistrano. There are so many unique buildings and backgrounds for photos, and plenty of fun things to see and keep you interested. You hated the clothes and shoes I made you wear, but son, you were soooo adorable. You could be a model. We stopped for coffee and a treat...and a break from photos. We also made sure to check out the train every time it went by. You sort of fell apart at the end of the shoot, but were an awesome trooper and so much fun most of the day.
Here's the shots I considered for our Christmas card...and probably some that will make it up around the house.
I'd say our Christmas card turned out pretty nice this year! I'm excited to get them and send them to friends and family.
These were the photos that didn't make the cut for the card, but are still fun shots of us together.

Cranky face. Even the train couldn't make you smile at this point. Can't blame you...this was the end of the shoot. |
Again, a huge thank you to Auntie Ansley for capturing some great moments and making us look good. It's just nice to have a nice photo that isn't a selfie...although those are fun too.
Love,
Mama
