Dear Etrain,
This was a pretty exciting month! It started out with our usual simple adventures that are always lots of fun...like going to the park and playing in the mud.
Then taking a bath to get cleaned up after playing in the mud. We always have a good time in the bath. We rock out to music, make the letters and numbers stick the walls of the tub, and dump water over, and over, and over, and over again.
You still really like My Gym. Even days when you tell me "no My Gym" I take you anyway, and you leave saying "fun My Gym". There's always something new and exciting there that you love. My favorite is that you know the routine and call it out along the way. We go in and after a few minutes you say "circle time", usually before it's time. But then when they do call circle time, you go running to the circle and plop down on the floor. They start up the exercises and you can pretty much do them all on your own. When they cheer "hooray" you say it too and raise both hands above your head. When it's clean up time you jump right in and help with no fight. (You even sing the clean up song at home when it's time to put your toys away here. Score!) You run back to the circle and plop down when it's story/puppet time, and at the end of class they play the bye bye song and everyone does bye bye hands. You do the whole thing on your own. Watching you in the class always brings a smile to my face. You are just so adorable...and smart!
We went to the park again (we go a lot), but we started taking the long way. It gives mom some exercise and you love to push the stroller or run along the path. These photos crack me up because this day you ran almost the entire path...and it's quite long. You started to slow down toward the end and decided you needed to rest...right there on the ground. You said "nap time" and even put your hand on your back meaning you wanted me to rub your back like I do when I put you to bed. Too funny.
Grandma and Grandpa North came to visit and they brought their new RV. You thought it was the coolest thing and had a ton of fun climbing all over it. Grandpa played a silly Earthquake Finger game with you that you got a kick out of.
You also go to spend some time with Nana (and Papa) and her phone.
One of the most exciting things we did this month was go to Mexico! This time to a town called Punta de Mita, near Puerto Vallarta...which meant we had to fly on an airplane to get there, which you thought was really cool (and actually did pretty well on during the flight). You can read more about that trip here. It was so much fun and now I can't wait until summer so we can play at the beach and in our pool at home.
You just keep getting more and more cool, little dude. You talk so much now. 80% of the time it's probably about trucks...or cars, tractors, motorcycles, etc. Oh how you love that stuff. Now that you face forward in the car, you love to call out the red and green lights, and you like to remind us that "red means stop" and "green means gooooo". Ha. You also love to play the stop/go game when we play chase aka "get you". You still love to dance, which warms my heart. I play music a lot when we are home and when you hear something you like you have no problem getting up to boogie and saying "again mom" when the song ends.
And now I'll leave you with a few little gems of you just being you. (Pre haircut.)
(Post haircut.)
Deuces, sweet boy.
Mama
