Boy oh boy did we have a busy month! It started with a visit from Grammy. She and I played with you a bunch at home and took you everywhere we went while she was here. One day we went to Laguna Beach and played on the swings and in the sand. We also went to see the Easter Bunny. You loved playing with Grammy's iPad, and we managed to all take a selfie together with it. We also tried a photo shoot again with you two, but you were quite wiggly per usual.
You and I also had lots of fun with Dada. He and I took you to your first Lakers game and your first trip to Austin, Texas. Man, you were a pain in the butt on the airplane. I can't completely blame you. No one really likes being stuck in their seat for hours at a time. On the flight to Austin, there was a nice lady sitting behind you, that talked to you and tried to entertain you a bit. It was nice because you were so figidity at least you weren't annoying her when you kept popping your head over. But other than the flights, we had a great time in Austin. We stayed in a cool house that you loved exploring. You also got to meet some of Dada's friends who we went out with a few times.
When we came back from Austin, Dada had to leave for Santiago, Chile for eight days for work. Since he would be gone so long, I booked us up with lots of outings and visits. We went to Auntie Tiffany's and you played with her kids. They're a bit older than you, but they liked your car and race track we brought over. Auntie Ansley came over one night and you ended up all over her Snapchat feed. We went to Ansley's parents house, because they are like parents to me, and they sure do love seeing us. You and Resi had a play date one afternoon and stayed up way past your bedtime because we were having so much fun. And we of course hung out with Nana and Papa all day Sunday and had a ball. You had so much fun eating (and wearing your food), we decided to give you a bath, which you always love.
Now let's talk about your stank face. That's what I call it. Stank face. You're all about it this month. For reference, stank face is the face you're making in the very first photo of this post. Everyone gets the stank face. Whether you're shy or just being a weirdo we see it pretty much everyday. You now think it's funny so you'll follow stank face up with a laugh.
You started off the month strong with many many attempts to stand up. We've even gotten you to take as many as eight steps on your own, but you're still not into walking. Once you figure out you're standing or walking unassisted you plop back down to the floor. We know you can do it, you're just either cautious or stubborn, or a little bit of both. You'll get there eventually. In the mean time it's so damn cute to watch you try. And you've got plenty of toys you love to use as walkers for practice.
Other things that you were into this month included trying out eating with a spoon on your own. You make a huge mess, especially with the yogurt, but it's fun to watch. You've started saying your version of "teeeeth" before we brush your teeth. You also can sort of say "more". I'm not completely convinced you know what it means, but we're working on it.
