Dear Etrain,
You did it baby boy! Today you decided you wanted to walk. You've been teasing us for months now. You'd push yourself up to a standing position, and even take a few steps here and there. You'd let go of whatever was giving you balance and stand on your own for a few seconds. But everytime you'd eventually plop back down on the ground.
I'm not sure if it is all the toys you've been walking around the house. Or maybe it's the class I started taking you to where all the kids around your age are walking except you. Whatever it is, today you found your confidence and desire, and just stared cruising around on your feet.
It was perfect timing too. It was about time for Dada to come home and we were hanging out in your playroom. After playing with my phone and taking some selfies and video, you started testing the waters several times while we were there. I kept trying to get you to do it again so I could record a video, but you'd come up to me or just plop down again. But then Dada came home. I told him what you had been up to and we tried again, and sure enough you just started walking around the room. I was tearing up and Dada was trying to hold in his excitement so you wouldn't stop. We got it on video and it's pretty amazing...then of course I had text your grandparents and post it on social media.
We're so proud of you baby boy. Now we just need to get you really talking and you'll be a true little person (you are now, but you know what I mean).
Hugs, kisses, and a big high five,
Mama
