Afternoon in Laguna

Dear Etrain,

I have this program called Google Photos on my phone. Everytime I take a photo, Google Photos automatically backs up my pics to the cloud so they are saved. I love this because I take so many photos I'd be crushed if I lost them. Another great feature of the program is that it shares reminders from past events called Rediscover This Day. Well, today I got a reminder from the afternoon Dada and I took you to Laguna Beach a year ago today.

You weren't even a month old yet. They say you shouldn't take newborn babies into public places when they are super tiny so they don't mix with all the cooties that little ones can't quite handle yet. Dada and I were going a bit stir crazy sitting in the house the whole time, and we needed an adventure. We figured Laguna would be a good option because we would be out in the open air and still keep you away from the cooties. Plus it's just really pretty.

It was the afternoon in January so the sun was setting early. We walked the boardwalk a little bit, then found a bench to sit and take in the beauty. You were hungry so we whipped up a bottle that Dada fed you. He looked so handsome sitting there in the afternoon sunlight feeding my baby boy. A perfect, gorgeous setting with my two favorite humans. My heart was full.

I took a bunch of photos of you that afternoon. Oh my, you were adorable (you still are). I remember texting some of those photos to your grandparents right then. We couldn't help but share the moment and your cuteness with them. You make us all so happy little boy.

Love,
Mama
